Cairns Catholic Youth Ministry exists to encourage and support the engagement of young people in the life of the Church. Our vision is guided by the Australian Catholic Bishops’ goals for comprehensive youth ministry:
- To foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person
- To draw young people into responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community
- To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

REACH Youth Group
Meets on a fortnightly basis on Sundays (3-5 pm) at Seville Mercy Conference Centre in Earlville. REACH is open to high schoolers wishing to deepen their faith in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. Adult helpers welcome too. Contact: Priscilla O’Brien admin@reachyouth.org.au.
St Thomas' Youth Group Mareeba
Meets fortnightly on Friday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm during the school term. Youth aged 12 – 15 are invited to have fun, unwind and get engaged in the parish community! Contact Scott Gilbert 0400 922 266 to find out more.
Youth for Christ (YFC)
A youth ministry of Couples for Christ, whose aim is to bring renewal to youth and young adults and to foster an environment where they can respond to God’s call to holiness. Vinnies Youth
The St Vincent de Paul FNQ Youth Conference is a group of vibrant and talented young people, generally aged between 17 and 35 years, who meet regularly to plan activities and support each other in the work they do.
In addition to the works planned within the conference (e.g. recreational days for disadvantaged children), meetings offer an opportunity to learn about opportunities to get involved in wider St Vincent de Paul Society activities such as statewide works, talks, retreats, social events and more.
